I knew I had to get out of the city. Montreal had become too small in too short an amount of time. Every metro station I got off at, I thought I saw a familiar face; every street corner I rounded I was scared I’d bump into somebody I knew. So I left. I left because I thought either the city would change while I was gone, or I would change while away from the city. I was wrong on both counts, and everything was the same when I returned. So all I got in the end were these photos, and the phrase “I went on a trip”.
